My First Visit

What Should I Expect?

If you are going to be visiting Northland Bible Church for the first time, we hope that you find the following information helpful. As always, if you have further questions, feel free to e-mail or call the church office (907) 364-2116.

What Time Are Services?

We offer two services each Sunday morning. At 10:00 AM we have Sunday School classes for all ages and 11:00 AM we have the morning worship service. The 11:00 service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. On Wednesday at 7:00 PM we offer a weekly Bible Study and Prayer meeting. The mid-week service tends to last about an hour and 15 minutes.

What Do I Do with My Children?

If you have children, feel free to bring them with you to the worship service. However, we are confident that they will enjoy the quality nursery care and exciting children’s classes we offer. Nursery care is provided on Sundays and Wednesdays. Sunday School classes for elementary children and teenagers are offered during the Sunday School Hour, while Children’s Church for preschool through sixth grade is offered during the main service.

What Should i Wear?

If you like to dress up when you attend church, then you may find several of our ladies wearing dresses and sometimes a gentleman might even wear a tie. If you prefer to dress a bit more casual, you’ll blend right in with a lot of people in jeans as well. This is Juneau, please wear whatever makes you comfortable. (Well, if you come in pajamas and fuzzy slippers, you’ll probably stand out a bit.) XtraTufs (Rubber Boots for our visitors from down south) are just fine.

What Should I Expect from the Service?

The service usually begins with an opening song, followed by a brief greeting time and an opening prayer. Then we have a worship time through music. Our music is a good blend of great traditional music as well as God honoring newer tunes. We then listen to a message from God’s Word. We think you’ll find the messages to be true to the Biblical text and relative to everyday life.
